Applied game technologies
The httc’s activities in the field of applied game technologies focus on the development of serious games for the socially relevant areas of education (learning, training, education, training and simulation) and health (movement, cognition; prevention and rehabilitation).
In cooperation with partners from industry and research, ‘customised’ solutions are developed in an industry-related environment.
The following research and development aspects, which are being researched in cooperation with the Chair of Multimedia Communication at TU Darmstadt, come into play here:

- Interactive digital storytelling and the paradox: narrative vs. interaction
- Technology-enhanced learning with storytelling and (serious) games
- Content production and authoring tools
- Game mastering and collaborative learning in multiplayer serious games
- Peer assessment in serious games and learning environments
- Exergames – Serious games for sport & health
